His batting average this season is .275 (7th on Rockies), on-base percentage .380 (2nd), slugging .549 (3rd) and on-base plus slugging .929 (3rd). Throughout this season he has scored 31 runs and has 21 RBIs. He leads the team in runs scored and he is third in RBIs.

If we look at baserunner advancement closer though, Blackmon still leads the team in runs scored, but he is actually second in RBIs. That is NOT an opinion. That is a fact.

What you are about to read next no one else will tell you as far as I know.

In May, Blackmon has 21 total bases where 14 of those total bases resulted in him scoring six runs. Those 14 total bases were three singles, a triple and two home runs.

He has walked 11 times this month, but has only scored three times via getting walked.

Charlie Blackmon has been partially responsible for six other Rockies runs scoring in May. The Rockies baserunners advanced a total of eight bases via a walk, three singles and a triple by Charlie Blackmon.

Blackmon’s batting average this month is .261 (6th on Rockies), on-base percentage .404 (2nd), slugging percentage .457 (6th) and on-base plus slugging of .860 (5th). He has scored nine runs (2nd on Rockies) and has four RBI’s (tied for 4th with four other Rockies players).
