Colorado Rockies organization January 2019 Transactions since my last update
Here are the Colorado Rockies transaction updates for the major league club as well as all of the minor league affiliates for January 2019 since my last update.
Former Colorado Rockies outfielder Larry Walker is awaiting word on whether he is going to be inducted into the Major League Baseball Hall of Fame today (Tuesday).
The following players agreed to one-year contracts with the Colorado Rockies to avoid arbitration:
On January 11th, the Rockies agreed to terms on contracts with infielder Trevor Story, catcher Tony Wolters, left-handed pitcher Tyler Anderson and right-handed pitchers Chad Bettis and Jon Gray.
On January 10th, right-handed relief pitcher Scott Oberg agreed to a one-year $1.3 million dollar deal.
Previously, on November 29th, left-handed pitcher Chris Rusin agreed to a deal worth $1.68 million.
Recent former Rockies players:
On January 17th, Adam Ottavino, a free agent and former Rockies right-handed relief pitcher has signed a three-year, $27 million dollar deal with the New York Yankees.
On January 11th, DJ LeMahieu, a free agent and former Rockies infielder has signed a two-year, $24 million dollar contract with the New York Yankees.
Rockies minor league organizations:
The Colorado Rockies have signed free agents RHP Jose Marcano and SS Reiner Abello to minor league contracts.
Cole Anderson, a right fielder for the Boise Hawks retired. The Hawks are the Rockies Class-A Short Season Affiliate.
The Dominican Summer League Rockies have released the following players in January: 3B Jonatan Mezquita, LF Welington Chal and RHP Daniel Encarnacion.
