Countdown to Kickoff: Preseason Week 2 (Less than 38 days away)
(Editor's Note: With less than 24 days now until the first game of the National Football League preseason, it is now time to begin the countdown to kickoff of the 2022-2023 NFL season. As of Saturday, July 9th, 2022, at 8 p.m. Eastern Time, each day for the next 26 days, I will write a story featuring each matchup for that week’s scheduled NFL games. The goal of writing these stories is to try to determine who is going to win each game of the 2022-2023 NFL preseason, regular season and postseason based on previous matchups each team has played against each other. Each day, each story I write, the hypothetical standings will be updated to reflect what may actually happen in the 2022-2023 NFL season. I may also offer my predictions on who will win each game.)
By: Evan Troxel
In National Football League preseason Week 2, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. Tennessee Titans game is supposed to be the most competitive while the Atlanta Falcons vs. the New York Jets could be the least competitive based on last year's won-lost-tie records for all games for every NFL team.
In my previous story, the Atlanta Falcons logo was one of the four logos I used for the picture in that story. I am not going to do that for a second-straight week.
So, instead, the second-least competitive matchup could be the Cincinnati Bengals at the New York Giants.
The second-most competitive game could be the Denver Broncos at the Buffalo Bills.
If reverse psychology becomes a factor, the Falcons-Jets game and the Bengals-Giants games will be the most competitive NFL games in preseason Week 2.
Heading into NFL Preseason Week 2, I am going to make this simple, what would your favorite NFL team’s Preseason Record be if they actually win, lose or tie like the last time they did )before the 2022-2023 Preseason) when they faced that team ever, the last time they faced that team at the home team’s stadium, the last time they faced that team in the preseason, and the last time they faced that team at the home team’s stadium in the preseason?
