Ogallala defeats North Platte in Boys' High School Varsity Basketball Exhibition on November 29th, 2025

The Ogallala Indians High School Boys' Varsity basketball team defeated the North Platte Bulldogs 80-44 on Saturday, November 29th, 2025, on the Steve Morgan Court in the Prairie View Gymnasium in Ogallala, Nebraska.

Jonathan Rinke scored 14 points for North Platte. He made four free throws. He scored 10 of his 14 points in the first half.

Edan Cain led all Ogallala scorers with 21 points. He made one three-pointer and made two free throws. Cain scored 14 of his 21 points in the first half.

Ogallala led 18-13 after the first quarter.

North Platte trailed 22 to 45 at halftime.

Ogallala led 69 to 32 after three quarters.

After four quarters, North Platte lost to Ogallala by a final score of 80-44.

North Platte's Logan Hayes scored 12 points. He made two threes and four free throws.

Landry Hammond scored seven points which included a three-point make.

Jarrett Smeltzer and Kalieb Odell each made a three-pointer.

Tristan Graves and Bo Black each had a two-point make.

Lebron Sharp scored one point.

For Ogallala, Tanne DeCastro and Rhys Gilmore each scored 13 points.

Decastro made one three-pointer and had at least two dunks. Gilmore made five free throws.

Lincoln Gillen and Sawyer Smith each scored 12 points. They each made two threes.

Rylan Gilmore scored seven points, including one free throw.

Zach Musgrove made a two-pointer.

North Platte hosted Norfolk on Friday, December 5th, and lost to Norfolk 67-51. The Bulldogs also host South Sioux City today on Saturday, December 6th, 2025.

Ogallala hosts Minden today on Saturday, December 6th, 2025, in their regular season opener.
