Chadron (16-10) is currently ranked 19th in Class C1 according to nsaahome.org with 42.5000 wild card points as of 5:12 p.m. Mountain Time on February 18th, 2026.
It appears Chadron will probably not be playing in a District Final unless something unforeseen happens.
Ogallala (19-4) is currently ranked 6th in Class C1 according to nsaahome.org with 45.5652 wild card points as of 5:12 p.m. Mountain Time on February 18th, 2026.
If the current NSAA rankings hold up, #6 Ogallala could be playing the #11 ranked O'Neill Eagles (19-5) in a District Final.
The other teams that Ogallala likely could play in a District Final are Raymond Central (18-4) and Scotus Central Catholic (19-5).
In the other Class C1-10 Subdistrict Semifinal, the #2 ranked Gothenburg Swedes defeated #3 ranked Bridgeport Bulldogs 57-29 on Tuesday evening, February 17th, 2026, on the Steve Morgan Court in the Prairie View Gymnasium in Ogallala, Nebraska.
On my scorecard, I think Gothenburg scored 58 points and I don't think the scoreboard people counted an additional point for Gothenburg which I am honestly wondering why.
It is also possible Ogallala could play Bridgeport for the second time this season in a District Final if the Indians lose the Subdistrict Final on Thursday, February 19th, 2026.
Bridgeport lost at Ogallala 64-30 on January 6th.
Bridgeport (22-4) is currently ranked 10th in Class C1 according to nsaahome.org with 44.3846 wild card points.
The Bulldogs could be playing #7 ranked Central City (23-2) if both teams don't move up or down in the NSAA rankings.
Bridgeport probably will play in a District Final as well, but it seems more likely than not that they will be on the road for that District Final.
Gothenburg (20-3) is currently ranked 4th in Class C1 according to nsaahome.org with 45.9130 wild card points.
if the currently NSAA rankings hold up, the Swedes will play #13 Scotus Central Catholic (19-5) in a District Final. The Swedes could also possibly be playing #14 Wahoo (15-9) if Gothenburg moves up to 3rd in the NSAA rankings by getting a win on Thursday, February 19th, against Ogallala.
It seems pretty obvious that Ogallala and Gothenburg each will probably be playing in a District Final.
Whoever wins the Subdistrict Final on Thursday night, February 19th, 2026, between Gothenburg and Ogallala at 6:00 p.m. Mountain Time in Ogallala, Nebraska, at the Prairie View Gymnasium, is possibly going to be hosting a District Final and for sure will be the higher seed than their District Final opponent.
Whoever loses the C1-10 Subdistrict Final might have to go on the road for a District Final.
The District Final is slated for Thursday and Friday, February 26th and 27th, 2026.
The Girls' High School State Tournament in Nebraska is scheduled for March 4th through 7th, 2026, in Lincoln, Nebraska.
