Ogallala Varsity Volleyball defeats Hershey; To play Sidney on Thursday, September 3rd, 2026

The Ogallala High School Lady Indians Girls' Varsity Volleyball team defeated the Hershey High School Panthers on Tuesday evening, September 1st, 2026, in the Prairie View Gymnasium on the Steve Morgan Court in Ogallala, Nebraska.
Ogallala won three sets to zero.
Hershey is now 1-1 on the season and Ogallala is now 2-0 on the season.
Hershey hosts Kearney Catholic on Thursday, September 3rd, 2026, I guess, and they also host Cozad on Tuesday, September 8th.
Ogallala hosts Sidney on Thursday, September 3rd, 2026. Ogallala travels to McCook on September 8th.
In the first set Ogallala led 5 to 4, and then they trailed 10 to 9. Ogallala led 15 to 14 and 20 to 16.
Ogallala led 24 to 19 and then Hershey scored three straight points.
The Indians then won the first set on an Alex Ervin kill right to left to take the first set.
In set two, Ogallala led 3 to 0 and then lost six straight points.
Hershey then led 10 to 9, but Ogallala took a 15 to 14 lead.
Ogallala led 20 to 19, and then Hershey trailed 21 to 20.
Ogallala then won set two 25 to 20.
In set three, Hershey led 5 to 2. The Panthers also led 10 to 8 and 15 to 14.
Ogallala trailed 19 to 16, but then won the next nine points and won the third set 25 to 19.
For Hershey, Kyra Hacker had one block and six kills and Hadley Etherton had six kills.
Demi DaMoude had one ace and four kills. Sarah Mundt had one block and four kills.
Kennedy Layman had two blocks and two kills.
Alexis Pinkerton had one kill.
For Ogallala, Alex Ervin led the Indians with at least 15 kills. She also had one block.
Harper Smith had two aces for Ogallala and Brooklyn Robb, Addison Powell and Charlie Caskey had one ace each.
Addison Powell also had one block and eight kills.
Kamryn Klockman had eight kills.
Shaydyn Rasby had six kills and one block.
Addison Holm had one block and five kills.
Kooper Knispel had one kill.
In the Junior Varsity match, Ogallala won two sets to one. They won 25 to 20, lost 23 to 25 and won 15 to 9.
For Hershey, Ellie Hampton and Daytona Cohn each had four kills.
Madisyn Johnson had one ace serve.
Inga Burton had nine kills for Ogallala.
Camber Lippert and Haidyn Rapp each had three aces.
In the reserve match, Ogallala won two sets to one.
Ogallala lost 21 to 25, but then won set two 25 to 14 and set three 15 to 11.
For Hershey, Allie O'Brien had two aces.
Emmalynn Vega had two kills and Brianna Bohlen had two kills.
For Ogallala, Caydence Rasby and Mary Finken each had three aces.
Caydence Rasby had six kills and Addlie Flansburg had five kills.
