Ogallala wins against Perkins County in Boys' High School Reserve Basketball on December 8th, 2025

The Ogallala Indians High School Boys' Reserve basketball team defeated the Perkins County Plainsmen by a final score of 60-58 on Monday, December 8th, 2025, at the Ogallala Auditorium in Ogallala, Nebraska!
Perkins County's Porter Tjaden scored a team-high 22 points. Tjaden made nine two-point baskets and four free throws.
Ogallala's Jacoby Bauer scored a team-high 23 points. He made three three-point shots and just two free throws.
Beckan Cain scored 21 points for Ogallala. He made one three-pointer and two free throws.
Perkins County led 12-10 after the first quarter.
Ogallala then took a 19-16 lead with 4:23 left to go in the second quarter.
The Indians then led at halftime 28-26.
Perkins County trailed 41-36 with 3:21 left in the third quarter.
A late surge in which Perkins County scored a couple of buckets in the last 1:03 of the third quarter made the score Perkins County 43 and Ogallala 44 heading into the final quarter.
Ogallala led 55-49 at some point in the middle part of the 4th quarter.
Perkins County again cut the deficit to just three with the score being in favor of Ogallala at 59-56 with 53.3 seconds to go.
Perkins County made the score Ogallala 59 and Perkins County 58 with 32.5 seconds to go.
Ogallala's Jacoby Bauer went to the free throw line with 2.3 seconds to go in the fourth quarter. Ogallala led 60-58.
Bauer's free throw was short and the basketball went between the legs of Ogallala's Lou Menotti in the middle of the paint on Ogallala's scoring side and the game clock expired and Ogallala won the game 60-58.
For Perkins County, Mason Minster scored nine points. He made one three-pointer. Levi Nolt also scored nine points and he made one free throw.
Wyatt McCloskey scored seven points and made one three-pointer.
Massimo Latella scored six points.
Jared Mireles scored five points. He made one free throw.
For Ogallala, Easton Knispel scored 12 points. He made six two-point baskets.
Zach Dietrich scored four points on two two-pointers.
After this game, Perkins County is 0-1 on the season while Ogallala is 1-1 in High School Reserve games.
Ogallala's next home game is on Thursday, December 11th, 2025, vs. Hershey. Ogallala also has a home game against Chase County on Monday, December 15th.
