VB: Ogallala Volleyball defeats Scottsbluff three sets to zero in home regular season finale; Ogallala Junior Varsity also wins against Scottsbluff

The Ogallala Lady Indians High School Varsity volleyball team defeated the Scottsbluff Bearcats three sets to zero on Thursday, October 16th, 2025, at the Prairie View Gymnasium at the Steve Morgan Court in Ogallala, Nebraska, in their home regular season finale.


Ogallala won 25-18, 25-14 and 25-20.


For Scottsbluff, Addy Bowlin had 13 kills, one ace and one block.


Mia Bowles had four kills and four aces whiile Marley Wilkinson had five kills and two blocks.


For Ogallala, Laney Caskey recorded 19 kills, three aces and one block. Alex Ervin and Kooper Knispel had nine kills each.


In the first set, Ogallala led 5-2, 10-5, 15-7, 20-14 and won set one 25 to 18.


In set two, Scottsbluff trailed 5-0, 10-6, 15-12, 20-13 and lost set two 25-14.


In set number three, Ogallala trailed 5-4, 11-10 and 15-14, but then led 20-19 and won set three 25-20.


For Scottsbluff, Finnley Martin had six kills (five for sure).


Ava Reed had two kills.


For Ogallala, Shaydyn Rasby had seven kills (six for sure).


Addison Powell had two aces, one block and two kills.


Hayden Shaw had two aces and two kills.


Sadie Flansburg had one ace.


Scottsbluff (18-16) will play their next game at home against Gering on October 23rd.


As of 4:25 p.m. Mountain Time on October 20th, 2025, Scottsbluff has 42.1471 wild card points and is ranked 13th in Class B according to nsaahome.org.


Ogallala (26-3) travels to Cozad for Southwest Conference on October 20th and 21st.


As of 4:23 p.m. Mountain Time on October 20th, 2025, Ogallala has the most wild card points of any team in Class C1 with 46.3793 and is ranked 1st in Class C1 according to nsaahome.org.


In High School Junior Varsity Volleyball, Ogallala also won against Scottsbluff two sets to zero.


Ogallala won 25-16 and 25-16.


Nyah Bruner led Scottsbluff with six kills and also had one block.


Samantha Bell led Ogallala with nine kills and also recorded one ace.


In set number one, Ogallala led 5-4, 10-9, 15-11, 20-14 and won set one 25 to 16.


In set two, Scottsbluff trailed 5-4, led 11-10, trailed 15-12, 20-13 and lost set two 25 to 16.


For Scottsbluff, Maddon Harris recorded three kills.


Cali Treffer had one ace and two kills.


Allie Frerichs had one block and one kill.


For Ogallala, Inga Burton recorded five kills.


Kooper Knispel had one ace, one block and two kills.


Charlie Caskey had two aces and two kills.


Brooklyn Robb had three ace serves.


Marly Eastman and Tenlie Flansburg each had two kills.


Sara Stevens and Haidyn Rapp each had one ace serve.


Molly Armijo had one block.
