Ogallala Boys' lose to Hershey in High School Reserve Basketball on Thursday, December 11th, 2025

The Hershey Panthers defeated the Ogallala Indians Boys' High School Reserve basketball team 58-37 on Thursday, December 11th, 2025, at the Ogallala Auditorium in Ogallala, Nebraska.
Jacob Murphy scored a team-high 23 points for Hershey. He made one three-pointer and four free throws.
Murphy scored nine points in the fourth quarter. He had just eight points in the first half and six points in the third quarter.
Jacoby Bauer again led Ogallala in a Reserve game with 17 points. Bauer made three three-pointers and four free throws.
Bauer scored seven points in the first half and seven points in the third quarter.
Bauer has scored 17 or more points in every "Reserve" game so far this season.
Hershey led 16 to 3 after the first quarter.
Ogallala trailed 16-5 with 3:37 left in the second quarter.
The Indians got a little momentum going with Jacob Murphy on the bench for Hershey due to foul trouble and cut the deficit to seven at 18-11 with 1:38 to go in the second quarter.
Hershey led at halftime after two quarters 18-14.
Ogallala trailed 35 to 27 with 1:02 left in the third quarter.
A three-pointer at the end of the third quarter by Ogallala's Zach Dietrich made the score Hershey 38 and Ogallala 30.
Hershey led by 20 by a score of 51-31 with 4:49 left to go in the fourth quarter.
Ogallala trailed 56-37 with 2:32 to go in the fourth quarter.
Hershey won by a final score of 58 to 37.
For Hershey, Dalton Sterner scored 16 points. He made one three-pointer and one free throw. He had just two points in the first half and nine points total through three quarters.
Noah Murdock scored four two-pointers and totaled eight points.
Noah Sullivan scored three two-point baskets and totaled six points.
Ty Kindig scored three points which included a free throw.
Kolton Palm scored two points.
For Ogallala, Lou Menotti scored eight points. He made one three-pointer and one free throw.
Zach Dietrich scored five points total which included a three-pointer! Dietrich has scored more points in each successive "Reserve" game so far this season.
Easton Knispel scored four points which included two free throws.
Beckan Cain scored a two-point layup.
Ogallala has High School Reserve Girls' and Boys' games vs. Chase County in Ogallala next Monday on December 15th.
