Ogallala Girls' defeat Mullen in Girls' Varsity and Junior Varsity Basketball regular season opener on December 5th, 2025

In the regular season opener, the Ogallala Lady Indians High School Girls' Varsity basketball team defeated the Mullen Broncos on Friday, December 5th, 2025, 67 to 18 at the Steve Morgan Court in the Prairie View Gymnasium in Ogallala, Nebraska.
Mullen's Jenna Donohoe scored seven points. She made three free throws.
Ogallala's Aniston O'Neil scored a team-high 21 points. She made three 3-pointers and two free throws.
Ogallala led 21-2 with 2:50 left in the first quarter.
The Indians then led 25 to 4 after one quarter.
Mullen trailed 36 to 8 with 4:15 left in the second quarter.
Ogallala then led 50 to 10 at halftime, which prompted the running clock to be in effect for the entire second half.
The running clock means the game clock never stops for anything except for injuries and timeouts basically. In other words, the clock keeps moving even when free throws are being taken.
The Broncos trailed 63 to 14 after the third quarter.
In the fourth quarter, teams scored four points each and the final score was Mullen 18 and Ogallala 67.
For Mullen, Hayley Donohoe scored six points including two free throws.
Riley Hegland scored four points including two free throws.
Kalli Licking made a free throw.
For Ogallala, Shaydyn Rasby scored nine points. All of her points were two points each except one free throw which is worth one point.
Sadie Flansburg scored seven points including making a free throw.
Hayden Shaw scored six points for Ogallala which included a free throw make.
Sam Bell scored five points including a three-pointer. Addison Powell also scored five points including making a free throw.
Laney Caskey scored four points.
Harper Smith made a three-pointer.
Inga Burton, Tenlie Flansburg and Addison Slama each scored two points.
Kooper Knispel scored one point.
Mullen (1-1) is playing versus Valentine today on Tuesday, December 9th, 2025. Mullen then travels to Hyannis on Thursday, December 11th.
Ogallala played their second game of the regular season for both Girls' Varsity and Junior Varsity on Saturday, December 6th, 2025, vs. Minden.
Ogallala won that game over Minden 74 to 20 which can read about on my website.
The Indians next game will be on Saturday, December 13th at Chase County. Ogallala's next home game for Varsity basketball will be on December 19th vs. Hershey.
In the Girls' Junior Varsity game between the two teams, Ogallala won 39 to 8 in a two-quarter game.
Brynne McCully scored four points for Mullen. She made one three-pointer and one free throw.
Sam Bell scored 20 points for Ogallala. She made four three-pointers.
Mullen trailed 19 to 2 with 1:25 left in the first quarter.
Ogallala led 20-4 after the end of the first quarter.
The Broncos trailed 36 to 4 with 2:36 left in the second quarter.
At the end of the second quarter, the Indians won 39 to 8 after just two quarters.
For Mullen, Jenna Donohoe scored two points both on free throws. Austin Deibler also scored two points.
For Ogallala, Inga Burton scored 11 points. She made one three-pointer.
Tenlie Flansburg scored seven points. She made one three-point shot.
Marly Eastman made a free throw and totaled one point.
