Louisville had a fantastic season as they won 11 more games than last season and they won 14 more games than they did in both the 2022-23 and 2023-24 seasons and they also improved their average point differential by +12.21 points from last year.

Louisville averaged 47.2 points offensively this season and they averaged 43.2 points defensively this season for a point differential of +4.00.

Ogallala is headed to the State Tournament for the first time since the 2006-07 season (the actual year of 2007). Ogallala lost to Alliance on March 1st, 2007, in the first round 58 to 42.

The Indians have had their best season in a long time as they have won five more games than last season already and (as of right now) they also have improved their average point differential by 15.2 points from last year.

Ogallala has averaged 62.76 points this season offensively and they have averaged 36.68 points defensively this season for an average point differential of +26.08.

In the State Tournament, Ogallala will be the #5 seed against the #4 Gothenburg Swedes. Ogallala and Gothenburg have each beat each other once so far this season.

Gothenburg has averaged 64.44 points offensively this season and they have averaged 42.76 points defensively this season for an average point differential of +21.68.

Gothenburg has increased their average point differential at least 3.18 points in two of the last three seasons, including this season.

Ogallala has increased their average point differential by at least 9.51 points in each of the last two seasons.

Gothenburg beat Ogallala 61 to 58 in Ogallala on Tuesday, February 10th.

Ogallala beat Gothenburg 66 to 31 by a lot of points in the C1-10 Subdistrict Final on Friday, February 20th.

Gothenburg will be looking to win against Ogallala on Thursday, March 5th, 2026, as, before this season, they have beaten Ogallala in all of the games that really mattered (such as Conference Tournament games, Subdistrict Finals or a District Final) in previous recent seasons, but lost to Ogallala in the regular season in previous recent seasons before this season.

The Swedes have ended Ogallala's season both last year (in the District Final) and the year before that (in the Subdistrict Final).

Ogallala is hoping to let Gothenburg know that they truly earned their Subdistrict Title this year and that it wasn't fraudulent (and was legit) and Ogallala hopes to win the most important game of the season (up to this point) against Gothenburg on March 5th.

Gothenburg lost once in December, twice in January and once in February.

They lost to the Cheyenne East Thunderbirds (Wyoming) 65 to 61 in overtime on December 20th.

The Swedes lost to Kearney on January 10th, 59 to 46, to Holdrege on January 30th in the Southwest Conference Tournament Semifinals 45 to 42 and they also lost to Ogallala 66 to 31 on February 20th in the Class C1-10 Subdistrict Tournament Championship Game.

Ogallala lost twice in January and twice in February.

The Indians lost to Milford on January 10th, 53 to 36 and on January 31st to Holdrege 52 to 37 in the Southwest Conference Tournament Championship Game.

In February, Ogallala lost to Gothenburg 61 to 58 on February 10th and they also lost on February 13th again to Holdrege 46 to 36.

The State Tournament bracket for Class C1 in the first round will look like this, if I am not mistaken, and Class C1 teams will play games on Thursday through Saturday, March 5th through 7th, 2026:

On March 5th, 2026 (Quarterfinals in Class C1):

Game 1: #8 Central City (24-3, 44.7037 wild card points) vs. #1 Lincoln Christian (24-2, 46.7692 wild card points), 9:00 a.m. Central Time at Devaney

Game 2: #5 Ogallala (21-4, 45.6800 wild card points) vs. #4 Gothenburg (21-4, 45.8000 wild card points), 10:45 a.m. Central Time at Devaney

Game 3: #7 Fort Calhoun (24-2, 44.9231 wild card points) vs. #2 Milford (25-1, 46.6538 wild card points), 1:30 p.m. Central Time at Devaney

Game 4: #6 Holdrege (22-4, 45.5000 wild card points) vs. #3 Malcolm (25-1, 46.5769 wild card points), 3:15 p.m. Central Time at Devaney

CORRECTIONS

Everything is about what it was before except that Milford is now ranked first and will now play Fort Calhoun and Lincoln Christian is now ranked second and will play Central Central. Other than, that the only other thing that is different is that a four team's wild card points changed for some really odd reason after all of the District Final games were already completed, so I'm not sure what that's about at all to be honest. Also, Ogallala is now the #4 seed while Gothenburg is now the #5 seed for some reason.
