It appears to me that Ogallala and six other teams for sure in Class C1 have already qualified (although not officially yet) for an appearance in one of eight Class C1 District Final matches which will be played on Saturday, November 1st.

There are seven scheduled subdistrict tournament championship games slated for today, October 28th, 2025, in Class C1.

There are six semifinal matches today in three Class C1 subdistrict tournaments with the remaining championship games to be played tomorrow on Wednesday, October 29th, 2025.

It appears all of the top-seeded teams in today's semifinal matches in Class C1 in the C1-3 and C1-9 subdistrict tournaments (except for the C1-6 subdistrict tournament) will probably lock up a spot in a District Final game on Saturday with a win today.

According to me, it appears Ogallala is going to be the #1 overall seed in the District Final match and is going to be playing Battle Creek or Clarkson/Leigh if every higher seeded team wins every (or nearly every) single game remaining today and tomorrow (October 29th) for the remainder of the ten total Class C1 subdistrict tournaments.

Or, If Gothenburg defeats Ogallala today, it looks like a strong realistic possibility Ogallala and Gothenburg might play each other again on Saturday, November 1st in Ogallala.

It also looks like Ogallala could be playing Boone Central or the winner of the C1-6 Subdistrict Tournament if Battle Creek and/or Clarkson/Leigh doesn't each win their subdistrict tournament.

As for Gothenburg, they have to win today for their season to continue and they will likely be playing a top five team in Class C1 in a District Final if they do win today.

The winners of each District Final game on Saturday, November 1st, 2025, get to go to the State Tournament with eight teams in each class qualifying for the State Tournament in Lincoln, Nebraska.
