Ogallala Girls' Lose To Sidney in High School Reserve Basketball on Monday, January 19th, 2026

The Ogallala Indians Girls' High School Reserve basketball team lost to the Sidney Red Raiders 51-43 on Monday, January 19th, 2026, at the Ogallala Auditorium in Ogallala, Nebraska.


For the second straight game, Ogallala gave up 10 or more points to two players on the opposing team.


Ansley Santero scored 16 points for Sidney.


She scored 10 points in the first half.


Haidyn Rapp scored 14 points for Ogallala. She made five two-pointers and four free throws.


Rapp had her second-highest scoring total in Reserve games this season. She averaged 9.8 points per game in Reserve home games this season.


To start the game, Kinslee Lewis started things off for Sidney with a two-pointer.


Then, Harper Misegadis made a two to give Sidney a 4-0 lead.


Chloe Gager then hit a three-pointer for Ogallala.


Ansley Santero then scored two points and Sidney led 6-3.


Kinslee Lewis then scored two more for the Red Raiders.


Haidyn Rapp then made two two-pointers for Ogallala and Sidney led 8-7.


Emma Ford then made a two for Sidney.


Chloe Gager then hit a second three and the game was tied at ten!


Harper Misegadis then made a two for Sidney and the Red Raiders led 12-10 after one quarter.


Ogallala went zero for four at the free throw line in the first quarter, if not worse.


Ansley Santero then made two more two-pointers and Sidney jumped out to a 16-10 lead.


Chloe Gager then hit a three for Ogallala and Sidney led 16-13 with 6:31 left in the second quarter.


Ansley Santero then made another two-pointer and Harper Misegadis also made a two and Sidney led 20-13.


Charlie Caskey then scored two for Ogallala.


Haidyn Rapp made a free throw for Ogallala and then Kinley Schnell made a free throw for Sidney and the Red Raiders led 21-16 with 4:12 left in the second quarter.


Kinslee Lewis then made a two for Sidney while Kooper Knispel made a two for Ogallala.


Ansley Santero then made a two-pointer and Sidney led 25-18.


Kooper Knispel then made another two-pointer for Ogallala before Kyra Witte hit a three for Sidney and Ogallala trailed 28-20.


Haidyn Rapp made a two and Kooper Knispel made a three to cut Ogallala's deficit to three at 28-25.


Kyra Witte hit a two-pointer and Sidney led 30-25 with 44.9 seconds left in the second quarter.


Haidyn Rapp made two free throws for the Indians and Sidney led 30-27 after two quarters at halftime.


Ogallala made at least three free throws and shot at least five free throws in the second quarter if I'm not mistaken.


Kinslee Lewis made a two for Sidney to start the third quarter.


Harper Misegadis then made a two and Sidney led 34-27.


Sara Stevens made a two-pointer for Ogallala.


Ansley Santero then made a two-pointer and Sidney led 36-29.


Haidyn Rapp then made a two-pointer for Ogallala, and the Indians trailed by five 31-36.


Austin Hurt then made a couple of two-pointers back-to-back for Sidney and the Red Raiders led 40-31 with 3:10 left in the third quarter.


Ansley Santero then made her seventh two-pointer of the game and Sidney led 42-31.


Julia Flaming then scored a two-pointer for Ogallala.


Harper Misegadis then hit her only three-pointer of the game and Sidney led 45-33 after three quarters.


Three different basketball players missed multiple free throws for Ogallala in the third quarter. Ogallala went zero for six from the free throw line in the third quarter, if not worse.


Chloe Gager then hit her fourth three of the game and Ogallala trailed 45-36 early in the fourth quarter.


Ansley Santero made a final two-point bucket and Sidney led 47-36.


Emma Ford also made a two-pointer for Sidney.


Charlie Caskey then made two free throws and Ogallala trailed 49-38.


Then, Austin Hurt made her third two-pointer of the game for Sidney.


Haidyn Rapp then made another two-pointer and Ogallala trailed 51-40 with 3:52 left in the fourth quarter.


Charlie Caskey then made another two-pointer and Haidyn Rapp made one of two free throws and Ogallala trailed 51-43 with 1:14 left in the fourth quarter.


Sidney won by a final score of 51 to 43 and improved to 11-0 on the season.


Ogallala made three free throws in the fourth quarter and shot at least four free throws in the fourth quarter if I am not mistaken.


The Red Raiders only made one free throw the entire game!


Ogallala on the other hand fell to 5-1 in High School Girls' Reserve games this season.


The Indians finished with four wins and one loss this season at home in Girls' Reserve games.


Ogallala made six free throws for sure in the game on at least 19 attempts if I am not mistaken. The Indians for sure took 14 attempts and they might have taken as many as 20 attempts at the free throw line (if not more than that).


For the second straight game, Ogallala scored the fewest amount of points in a Reserve game this season and they also gave up 50 or more points in a game for the first time this season.



For Sidney, Harper Misegadis scored 11 points. She made one three-pointer.


Misegadis scored six points in the first half.


Kinslee Lewis scored eight points. She scored six points in the first half.


Austin Hurt scored six points.


Kyra Witte scored five points. She made one three-pointer.


Emma Ford scored four points.


Kinley Schnell scored one point.


For Ogallala, Chloe Gager scored 12 points. She made four three-pointers!


Gager scored nine points in the first half. She scored 11 or more points in all four of her home games that she has played in for Girls' High School Reserve basketball this season.


Chloe Gager averaged 15 points per game in the four home Reserve games she played in this season.


Kooper Knispel scored seven points, with all of those points coming in the second quarter. She made one three-pointer.


Knispel scored at least five points in all four of the home Reserve games she actually played in this season. She averaged 7.5 points per game in the four home Reserve games she played in this season.


Charlie Caskey scored six points. She made two free throws.


Caskey scored at least three points in every home Reserve game this season. She averaged 6.6 points per game in home Reserve games this season.


Julia Flaming and Sara Stevens each scored two points.


Flaming and Stevens each scored at least two points in every home Reserve game this season.


Stevens averaged 5.6 points per game in home Reserve games this season.


Flaming averaged 1.8 points per game in home Reserve games this season. She scored nine total points in home Reserve games this season.


Flaming averaged 2.25 points per game in home Reserve games this season that she actually scored in!


Marly Eastman averaged 3.6 points per game in home Reserve games this season for Ogallala. She scored 18 total points in home Reserve games this season.


Eastman averaged 6 points per game in home Reserve games this season that she actually scored in!


Ogallala travels to Alliance on Friday, January 23rd, for Girls' and Boys' High School Junior Varsity and Varsity games.


On January 24th, Ogallala hosts Sidney for Girls' and Boys' High School Junior Varsity and Varsity games.


The Junior Varsity games will start at 4 p.m. Mountain Time with the Boys' playing at the Ogallala Auditorium and the Girls' playing at the Prairie View Gymnasium.


The Girls' Varsity game will start at 5:30 p.m. Mountain Time at the Prairie View Gymnasium and the Boys' Varsity game will start at 7:00 p.m. Time at the Prairie View Gymnasium.


Ogallala travels to Cozad for the final High School Girls' Reserve game of the season for Ogallala on Monday, January 26th.
